In these tough economic times, it is refreshing to see a British company not only successfully designing and manufacturing their own range of agricultural machines but just as impressive investing heavily in new technology and equipment.
K Two knew they needed to be even more competitive on price, delivery speed and quality against imported brands. The solution was a three-point plan of attack, firstly they redesigned their machines, then invested in a new 9-metre plasma cutter to cut faster and more accurately. They also purchased a new, massive, 450 Euro 8.1 metre 400-tonne press. This enabled K Two to bend larger pieces of steel – such as side panels rather than welding components in a jig. And lastly, a new overhead crane gantry system to speed up the movement of large components and machines down the production line.
